This book is a polemical study of oncological diseases and approaches to understanding them. The first part is devoted to the history of cancer research, statistics, key discoveries of the 20th century, staging, and an overview of existing treatment methods—surgery, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. The author examines the theory of carcinogenic factors from the perspective of Karl Popper's criterion of scientific validity and questions its evidence base. The second part is devoted to holistic approaches, the structure of consciousness and the subconscious, and the fundamentals of psychosomatics and psycho-oncology. The third part examines the traditional use of sacred plants and psychedelic mushrooms in indigenous therapeutic practices and modern research.

This book is intended for readers who have personally or loved ones been diagnosed with cancer and who wish to expand the boundaries of traditional understanding of the disease. It is written from the perspective of a practicing hypnotherapist and is not a substitute for professional medical care, as specifically stated in the author's disclaimer. The text is based on the author's work with patients and a review of scientific and ethnographic sources.
