Murderous Mothers

Polemical Essays

The book examines the destructive impact of maternal patterns on the psyche of an adult child. Separate chapters are devoted to the typology of toxic mothers, including schizophrenogenic, narcissistic, overprotective, castrating, and emotionally absent maternal figures. The text explores different forms of abuse, including physical, psychological, sexual, economic, educational, and medical abuse, as well as mechanisms of maternal manipulation, the psychological consequences of abortion for subsequent children, distorted separation processes, the transmission of trauma across generations, and the influence of maternal behavior on a child’s sexual identity and future relationships.

The book is a collaborative work with Dmitriy Korshevnyuk, PhD, psychotherapist, and psychophysiologist. It is based on the clinical practice of both authors and is intended for psychotherapists, psychologists, and readers working through their own childhood trauma or dealing with toxic maternal dynamics within their families. The central focus of the book is on specific case studies and the mechanisms through which unresolved trauma is passed from one generation to the next.
